Arusha is recognised as the gateway to several world-renowned national parks, it offers a unique blend of cultural heritage and adventure. Once a trading place for the domestic Wameru and Waarusha tribes, today it consists of picturesque street markets, craft shops, museums, Makonde carving workshops and street cafes and bars.

 

The towering peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro provide a picturesque backdrop for Arusha’s charm and many who visit the city are there to summit one or both of these famed peaks. Arusha is the starting point for incredible safari experiences. From here visit the nearby Serengeti National Park, renowned for its spectacular wildlife and the Great Migration. Witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebras as they traverse the plains, while lions, elephants, and giraffes roam freely.
